During the hose vulcanization process, the ink permanently transfers from the film to the rubber surface. After curing, the carrier film is easily peeled away, leaving a clean, durable layline marking that becomes an integral part of the hose.
Workers struggle to find a starting edge to peel the film. The film sticks to the rubber, tears during removal, or leaves stubborn residue on the hose surface, requiring costly manual cleaning.
After peeling off the carrier film, the ink remains on the film instead of transferring to the rubber. This results in faint, incomplete, or entirely missing pressure ratings and markings on the final product.
The transferred ink lacks strong bonding with the outer rubber layer. It easily peels off when scratched with a fingernail, or cracks and flakes away when the hydraulic hose is bent, coiled, or subjected to pressure expansion.
